The "why" question first

Well when I joined the church 13 years ago, I was deeply impressed by the thought that God's hand is doing a latter day work and we get to be a part of it. The more overwhlming thought is that He says that it will fill the whole earth. Many non LDS sociologist believe this is the case now and it will become the fourth world religion. Now to be alive during any birth of any world religion is amazing for very few have been on the earth to see something so unique happen, but what makes this birth different is the shear speed that God will commence and complete His work. The birth of this fourth world religion will be marvelous and glorious in the eyes of hundreds of millions, but to many more billions it will be a standard to fear for it is "fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners" (D&C 109:73). It will symbloize a standard of righteousness and peace will only be found in Zion. So here I am tracking the the progress of the His promises he made anciently and in the modern era thru His prophets that His work will fill the earth.
